Wouldn’t you prefer a quick and easy, safe system installation? No loose leads, cables, junction boxes, or wire connectors? No need to measure, cut and strip wires? Then go for a pluggable system, and go for it today! An Isolectra pluggable system means that all the necessary cables are supplied ready to use, cut to the right length, and fitted with the right connectors. Plug & play meets lighting systems!
A fully pluggable system is practical, minimises failure cost and saves time. Most importantly, a pluggable system is completely safe and super simple!
Traditional versus pluggable installation
The image below lists all the steps required for installing a luminaire in a greenhouse system. The column on the left shows a conventional installation procedure, and the one on the right shows the steps of a pluggable installation.
The pluggable system cuts the installation time by 80% compared with a a conventional system.

Solution
Various assembly suppliers operating from the Netherlands offer customised design, production and assembly for greenhouse projects all over the world. Our Wieland power connection system enable them to prepare customer-specific installations. Branches from a central power feed are routed to each luminaire and simply hooked up using our fool-proof and waterproof pluggable connectors. The entire system is prefabricated off site by the supplier, and then delivered and installed on site.

Products
CHASSIS-MOUNT CONNECTORS
Wieland chassis-mount connectors are used all over the world by practically every manufacturer of assimilation lighting systems. The connectors are integrated into the luminaire, and once on site they can be connected immediately using our pluggable connectors. There is no more need to open the luminaire, and the entire system can be installed as a plug & play operation, simple and safe. As an added advantage, in the event a luminaire develops a fault it can be quickly and easily replaced.

Connectors
RST®-connectors are available in a number of variants. They form the connection between the chassis-mount connector in the luminaire and the power cable supplying it. The most commonly used connector in the greenhouse horticulture industry is the green RST® 20i3 model, but the increase in the use of LED lighting means that the smaller RST® mini is gaining popularity. Different colours signify different internal configurations. Colours and models cannot be mixed, so incorrect connections are impossible to make.

CONNECTION CABLES
We supply connection cables for applications on any continent. Regulations vary from country to country. In Canada and the USA for example, cable assemblies must comply with the CSA or UL standard. Europe, Asia and the Middle East also have local rules and standards. We keep a large stock of the most commonly used connection cables fitted with the most popular connectors for North America, Asia and Europe.

DISTRIBUTORS
Distributors are prefab ready-wired boxes fitted with the required number of waterproof RST® chassis-mount connectors. They are used on site to hook up a pluggable lighting system quickly, simply and safely.

SPECIALS
Y-adapters
Y-adapters are custom-made pluggable distributors, and they are designed for use in hybrid installations that use a combination of HPS and LED luminaires.
Converters
Luminaires can only be connected to an existing system built with Wieland RST® products of a specific colour if the chassis-mount connectors are the same colour and type. A converter can be used to simply connect one colour to another, or to change from RST® classic to RST® mini and vice versa.

FINALLY
All Wieland products pass a full quality check. All the plastic and metal components of Wieland products are made in Europe. Fitting and assembly of the various parts also take place entirely in Europe. Quality is monitored throughout the production stages. The end product is then subjected to a final inspection, and random samples are taken for extra checks. This ensures that we can guarantee:
- Fully functional technical quality: our ‘faultless’ and tested products not only represent high quality, they also are extremely reliable and robust.
- Integrated quality: all our products can be easily integrated in the client’s processes.
